c. Kost: Also termed as Kos or Kos-kosan, is a special house type that can be found in Indonesia. Kost is divided into male only accommodation (kost pria/putra), female accommodation (kost wanita/putri) and mixed accommodation (kost campur). You can choose them according to your needs.

b. Contents of contract
Remember that you need to clearly understand the contents of contrat that you are going to sign in order to avoid disputes. If you cant understand local languange or renting without agent, it is better to bring up a friend that can understand the language, help you to read the contents before signing.
c. Tax stamp
People in Indonesia usually stamp a tax stamp at the place of signature and sign on it. Without tax stamp, a signed contract still considered as valid but just cant become the evidence on court.

*When you are renting a Kost, usually there is no need for contract and only pay for the kost every month and receive a receipt for it.
